His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji is the 72nd Pontiff of Sri Adichunchanagiri Math. He is a devoted disciple of His Holiness Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji (Sri Maha Guruji), the Founder President of Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (R.). He was initiated into the ascetic fold (Sanyas) in the year 1998. Sri Maha Swamiji has mastery in both modern scientific and technological knowledge and ancient wisdom. Under the guidance of Pujya Sri Maha Guruji, Sri Maha Swamiji established and served institutions ranging from Pre-Nursery to Research Centres in Chickballapur and Kolar Districts of Karnataka State, New Delhi and New Jersey. Uplifting the underprivileged is at the centre of his focus, as it is a task dear to his heart. No segment of society is outside the purview of Sri Maha Swamiji’s care and kindness, as Sri Math has adopted holistic approach to serve society as a social, cultural, educational and spiritual mentor. Sri Maha Swamiji is a Patron for Kumbh Mela programme held annually at T. Narasipur, Mysuru District. Also, he is the Convenor of Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha (HDAS) and Foundation for Unity of Religions and Enlightened Citizenship (FUREC). He has been constantly delivering discourses on Science, Religion and Spirituality in various Conferences both in India and abroad. He has visited many reputed Universities on invitation and delivered lectures at Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, Penn State and in India, at IIT-Kharagpur, BHU-Varanasi, IISc-Bengaluru and other renowned institutions / centres alike.
Continuing the ancient tradition of the Sri Math, Sri Maha Swamiji encourages programmes like Janapada Mela, Youth Festival, Jana / Mahila Jagruthi Programmes, Priesthood Training for all communities, Mass Marriage Ceremony, Sarva Dharma Sammelana and Jnana Vijnana Tantrajnana Mela. Pujya Maha Swamiji has also introduced “Vijnatham Award” for renowned scientists, technologists and spiritual persons for the substantial contribution at National / International arena.
Sri Maha Swamiji combines conviction in the Indian tradition and life with a deep understanding of scientific advancements and uses them to uplift the downtrodden in every aspect of life. Living his life as an example to his followers, Sri Maha Swamiji is a true disciple of his Guru . Sri Math has established Shakha (Branch) Maths’ not only in the fifteen Districts of Karnataka State, but also at Varanasi & Naimisharanya (Uttar Pradesh), Chitrakoot & Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh), Rameshwaram (Tamil Nadu), New Delhi and New Jersey (USA). Arrangements have been made for regular poojas, Satsang’s, festivals and spiritual discourses at all these places.

Today, Sri Maha Swamiji is relentlessly continuing the work begun by Poojya Sri Maha Guruji of spreading the message of amity and knowledge to all sections of society, particularly the underprivileged. In this context, Sri Maha Swamiji has visited several countries such as USA, UK, Germany, Cambodia, Israel, Sri Lanka, Burma and Thailand. Considering the relentless and dedicated services to society, University of Mysore conferred the Honorary Doctorate of D.Litt. (Honoris Causa) on April 30th 2016 at Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri.
